Does the Flop show finally over for Salman Khan? After giving double digit flops continuously this Khan seems, need some more time to give a super hit movie. Though Wanted is based on hugely successful Telugu movie Pokiri, however, its Hindi version lacks the intensity and courage to keep all class of audience engrossed through out the movie. After a long time people will see lots and lots of violence in a Bollywood movie, oh forgot to say Gajini has it but the action scenes are more realistic and there was a proper basis!
Wanted begins with a talk about of Mumbai underworld nexus and a newly appointed sincere Police Commissioner in the city. And Salman Khan makes an entry as the filmy action hero working for the underworld dons and known for his killer instincts and attitude. The hitch in the storyline is how Gani Bhai finds out the truth about Radhe's intentions. The first half dragged past by welcome messages and some romantic song & dance sequences, after the slow start the movie grip over the viewer till the interval.
The second half is mainly for the action lovers where Salman beats and kills countless men with ease, which includes dreadful shootouts; stabbing, kicks. Salman has a good time with action sequence which lures an average movie goer and Salman fans to enjoy the movie in great deal. Salman puts his relaxed, nonchalant manner of dialogue delivery to excellent use in the film's romantic and comic scenes, however, there is nothing much to do for Salman on acting terms in this movie.
The best part of the movie is presence of charismatic actor Prakash Raj, The National Award winning actor did a fantastic job in the movie, he enjoys every moment of his bad guy image.
Cinematography is very good; Editing is just disaster though almost all the actors have given their best. This is Prabudeva's maiden directorial venture so everybody expected a better quality songs and choreography which is lacking. The movie is lacking in direction despite the story is well-written.The movie is full of violence and archetypal gang war scenes and is not something you should go for if you're planning to sit down and relax with popcorn and a bottle of coke.
The movie released in a great time on the eve of Dusshera and end of Ramadan month, which gives a good opportunity in the box-office. However if you are a huge fan of Salman and mafia sequences go for it. I will give 5 rating out of 10 for this movie.
