Suryakanthi Movie Review :

Suryakanthi is the Romantic movie. Chetan Kumar and Regina are in lead roles.
This is one gentleman who the ladies cannot miss! Picture this… spiked hair, adorable smile, nice looks and what’s most important six-pack abs, yes that’s all in one parcel for you- Chetan.

The same actor who portrayed innocent looks in Aa Dinagalu now sets the screen ablaze in his upcoming movie Suryakanti. The very looks of the actor has created so many ripples that there is absolutely no need for promos. However it looks like the actor’s been gobbling up all the limelight and looks like lead actress Regina has very little paparazzi attention.
Director Chaitanya seems to have made the right choice with the male lead. The movie is a complete epitome of style in itself. From the locations used to the clothes worn, it is definitely out to prove that this movie is setting standards.

To start with, a big chunk of the movie is shot in Uzbekistan. Chetan doesn’t look like a fish out of water with all those firangis dancing next to him, which is actually a rare chemistry. Chetan apparently plays the role of an assassin, the costumes suit perfectly. The short sleeves displaying his well built biceps, the aptly used accessories and of course the actor’s spiked hair and unshaved looks all of it gelling well with his character.

Then there are the exceptional costumes for the songs, some of them are over the top. The black shoes teamed with the well fitted low-rise jeans match the uptown trends. The excessive use of a variety of sunglasses only compliments the actor
Some of the best glimpses are when Chetan sports a black hood in a fight sequence. Black generally symbolizes death but in this case Chetan only manages to fill life into his fans. The same sequence has this one shot where he does his stunts mid-air. Sources claim that it was Chetan himself who suggested the spiked hair look. With a co-actor with an amazing sense of style, no wonder Regina gushed, “I’ve never seen a handsome Kannada hero like Chetan”.

The second directorial venture of KM Chaitanya ‘Suryakanthi’ for which maestro Illayaraja has scored five songs the audio of the film was released on Saturday evening at 37 Crescent Hotel jointly by Agni Sridhar the flamboyant writer and noted producer Rockline Venkatesh.
We have put in hard work and spent lavishly in making this film said Chaitanya who gave a super hit from ‘Aa Dinagalu’. ‘Suryakanthi’ produced by M Vasu and Sujatha BN is shot in some of the lovely locations of Uzbekistan. Some of the dance and fight sequences are shot in the cities of Tashkent, Bukhara, Samarkhand and in the snow capped mountains of Chemgan. We used dancers and stuntmen from Uzbekistan, incidentally among the fighters; there were kick boxing champions who have represented Uzbekistan in the Olympics!”

Releasing the audio album writer and journalist Agni Sridhar who has just recently completed his debut film ‘Kallara Santhe’ explained the commitment and passion in director KM Chaitanya. Actress Regina spoke a few lines in Kannada which she had written it for audio release purpose. Actor Chetan made special preparation to appear in ‘Suryakanthi’ disclosed that he will be a Kannadiga and indebted to Agni Sridhar for imposing confidence in for ‘Aa Dinagalu’.

Eminent director Yogaraj Bhat who has penned a song for ‘Suryakanthi’ said working for KM Chaitanya is nothing but working for his cinema. The clap sound of audience for our work gives extra energy to go further he said.
