All set to bring you the right mix of comedy and romance is Srinivas Bhashyam's next directorial venture 'Love Khichdi', which is scheduled to hit theaters across India on 28th August 2009. It has been produced by Krishna Kumar Pittie, under the banner 'Victoria Entertainment Pvt Ltd'. The movie has Randeep Hooda in the lead role, with a bevy of beauties alongside - Kalpana Pandit, Riya Sen, Divya Dutta, Rituparna Sengupta, Sonali Kulkarni, Jesse Randhawa, and Sada, apart from Saurabh Shukla in a supporting role.
'Love Khichdi' has Pritam Chakraborty as the music directors, with Amitabh Verma and Shaleen Sharma providing the lyrics. It revolves around the life of a small-town guy Vir Pratap Singh (Randeep Hooda), who has his dreams as high, as the Eiffel Tower. He works as a chef in a five star hotel of Mumbai. Handsome, charming, suave, and courteous, Vir wants to make a great career for himself, in the 'City of Dreams'. The guy of every woman's dreams (well almost!), he has one major problem - he is yet to grow up in life.
Vir Pratap Singh can always be seen running behind good-looking women, one after the other. He flirts with one of them, yearns for another, lusts after the third one and gets intimidated by the fourth. In fact, there is hardly any woman who escapes Vir's eye or with whom he doesn't get along well, right from his man-hating maid Shanta Bai (Sonali Kulkarni) to the man-eating Nafisa Khan (Kalpana Pandit), a call-center executive who is as much in love with men as Vir is with women.
Included in the list of women Vir has an eye on are Sharmishta Basu (Rituparna Sengupta) - the Bong-Beauty-with-brains, Parminder Kaur (Divya Dutta) - a pretty and playful Punjaban, Deepti Mehta (Riya Sen) and Susan Raj (Jessy Randhawa). However, be it ego, confusion, or commitment-phobia, Vir sticks to none of them. The only static person in his life is his buddy, Sandhya Iyengar, whom he often takes for granted. By the time he realizes Sandhya's importance; it's too late (or is it not?). What will happen to Vir's love khichdi?
