'Accident on Hill Raod' marks the directorial debut of Mahesh Nair, who has also penned the screenplay Accident on Hill Roadof his first film. It has been produced by Magna Films. The movie stars Celina Jaitely (in a new hairdo), Farooque Shaikh, Abhimanyu Singh and Rukhsar. Composer Raju Singh has set on grooving music, for the lyrics written by Sandeep Nath and Rahul Patel. 'Accident on Hill Road' is slated for a release on October 9, 2009.
In this psychological thriller, viewers will get to see Farooque Sheikh after a long gap. The plot of the movie is largely inspired from the real life incident of a woman, who had hit a man with his car, and driven back home with the man wedged halfway though the windshield of her car. Celina Jaitely plays the character of Sonam Chopra, who is a nursing assistant by profession. 'Party hard and work harder' is her mantra in life.
One fine day, Sonam accidentally rams her car into Prakash Srivastava (Farooque Sheikh), a harmless stranger, which sends him flying through. He ends up getting stuck in the windshield of her car. Unwilling to endanger her future, Sonam drives the car, and the man wedged in it, to her garage, with the help of her boyfriend Sid (Abhimanyu Singh), and leaves him fighting with death, without any medical help.
Soon, the plot unravels dark twists and turns, with the captor and the captive finding themselves up against each other in a gory, outrageous battle for survival. 'Accident on Hill Road' promises to be a hardcore thriller, which will keep the viewers on the edge of their seats right from the opening scene to the finale. The question of ‘who wins the battle of survival’ will keep the suspense thriving and the answers are only to be unveiled on October 9.
