Asal, The Power of Silence Tamil movie starring Ajith Kumar in dual roles as Shiva, Prabhu as Mirasi, Sameera Reddy as Sara Bhavana as Sulabha is scheduled to be released on 26 Jan 2010.
The film is directed by Saran and produced by Prabhu Ganesan and Ramkumar Ganesan of Sivaji Productions.
The audio songs of the movie will be released by Rajini kanth on Jan 4, 2010 at the residence of actor Sivaji Ganeshan.
The songs for Asal has music by Bharathwaj & Y-Kinz with lyrics from Kaviyarasu Vairamuthu.
It will be the most expensive Ajith film ever made.

The Story : Asal movie story is almost out that first ajith who loves Guantanamera cigars will be a don dealing with international smuggling; incidentally the whole group was murdered. In that situation the second Ajith will appear on the screen to find out the mystery behind the murder.
Yet the remaining part of the movie is kept secret that second Ajith may be a police officer or detective or a person following vengeance for his beloved ones.

On February 5th, Asal will hit 500 screens worldwide. In Chennai, the film will grace 13 screens. Sources say that advance bookings have started in Chennai since January 29th and thetheatres are now displaying house full boards.
Kanal Kannan has choreographed the thrilling climax fight. Two Chinese stunt masters have also contributed towards the action in other parts of the movie – one of them, by the way, is an ex-cop!
